                        My Mischievous Sister

My sister,/ Cheryl,/is five year old.// She is a mischievous girl/ who always plays tricks on others.// She likes to hide my things/ when I am in school.// When I come home from school,/ my books and toys are always missing.//

She also likes to scare people/ by shouting in their ears.// She always comes up to me/ when I am doing my homework and shouts into my ear. Then she runs off laughing. She always gives me such a fright that I will drop my book and pencil. Once, she went too far and gave my mother a fright when she was cooking. My mother nearly spilled hot soup on her arm. She was so angry that she punished my sister.

I try to keep an eye on my sister whenever I can. Hopefully, I can stop her from getting into mischief.

                             My Mother and I

My mother and I are very close. We spend a lot of time together. Most of our time is spent at the piano. Both of us like to play the piano. We play duets all the time. My mother is a much better pianist than I am so she plays the more difficult parts of a piece.

My mother and I go out very often too. She takes me to the hair salon with her. She also takes me to the library. She encourages me to read to improve my general knowledge. Sometimes, we go to the swimming pool. My mother cannot swim so she sits by the side of the pool and watches me. She buys me some snacks to eat after swim.

I like spending time with my mother because she is a fun-loving person. She enjoys doing many things that I like to do.

                                My Brother
My brother is Albert. He is ten years old. He likes to play the piano. He has been playing the piano since he was five. He is a good pianist.

He practices for two hours every day. He practices even when he is tired. He plays scales and songs from famous composers. He practices even more before his piano examinations. I like to listen to him play. He sometimes plays my favorite songs for me. I sing along as he plays.

I hope to play the piano like my brother next time. I have just started taking piano lessons. I will practice hard so that I can be as good as him.

Lost In the Zoo

One Sunday morning, my parents took my younger brother and me to the zoo. We arrived there quite early but there were already many people queuing up to purchase tickets to visit the zoo.

Father told us to wait by the gate while he went to buy the tickets. After some time, we finally saw father waving to us. He had the tickets! My younger brother and I jumped up and down excitedly and rushed to the entrance.

We went to see the tigers and the lions first. After that, father informed us that an elephant show would commence in ten minutes' time. We hastened our pace to get to the venue where the elephant show was held. When we were a distance away, we could already see the huge elephants. My younger brother wanted to have a close look so he left mother and squeezed through the crowd to get to the front. As we moved to the front to get a closer look, we could not find him. We began to worry as the crowd grew bigger. Soon, we were calling out and shouting his name.

As we searched frantically, we saw an old lady taking him by the hand and walking toward us. We were grateful to her and thanked her. She said she had seen my brother crying by a signboard. We were happy to have found him.

        An Incident in the Neighborhood

It was a pleasant day. My friend and I were going to the playground. on our way there, we saw a lady taking a walk with her cute puppy. Then she met a friend and chatted with her beside a car park.

Just then, a car stopped along the road. The driver then reversed his car into an empty parking lot. An old lady, who was drying her clothes on the balcony above, was worried that the car would knock into the lady with the puppy. she shouted out loud to the lady. In doing so, she lost her grip on the stick with the wet clothes hanging from it. The stick slipped from the old woman's hands and dropped from the second storey.

My friend and i were shocked to see the falling stick and clothes. We shouted to the two women but it was too late. The stick hit one of the ladies on the head. The clothes that dropped along with it covered the puppy. It started to run frantically in circles, trying hard to crawl out from the wet clothes. Finally, it came out from the wet clothes and out from the wet clothes and shook its head. It looked a little disoriented.

The old lady looked down from the balcony. She felt very sorry for the accident. My friend and I ran up to the lady and asked if she was hurt. Luckily, she was not seriously hurt. We picked up the clothes and the stick. By this time, the old lady had come down. She apologized to the old lady and thanked us for helping her pick up her clothes.

My friend and I ran off to play, imitating the puppy struggling under the clothes as we went along.
